Yoo hoo! Vegan food hound alert! You may have seen me tweet about the Meatless Monday’s that Judkins St. Cafe has been serving up over the past year. This local restaurant has totally embraced the concept and has been offering vegan and vegetarian prix fixe meals on Mondays out of their adorable location in Judkins Park (south end of the Central District).
This upcoming Monday, Oct 1, 2012 they are teaming up with founder and owner of Field Roast, David Lee, to bring us something truly special. Chef Lee will will deliver up a three-course meal featuring his hazelnut-crusted stuffed field roast and local fall vegetables. Holy yum. In my opinion, this local vegan “meat” company could not get any radder. They do so much to support our community AND now David is guest cheffing (not a word?)!
Although the best part of this night will be Chef Lee cooking up an amazing vegan spread, I would say the stellar price of only $21 for three courses is definately the second best thing. What a freaking deal.
Seriously, you don’t even need to save up for date night. So take a date. Or just take your parents. Or maybe someone from work who just started? Maybe something nice for someone. I’d say this is a good reason to get out of the house on a Monday at least. Uh hem, of course, reservations are required friends! So call ’em now. OK.
