Oh heck yeah! Finally another vegan chili cook-off in our region. This time, the fine folks South of Seattle are bringing us the South Sound Vegan Chili Throwdown! This fine food filled event will take place on Saturday May 31st from 1:00-2:30 pm in the township of Lakewood, just 15 minutes south of Tacoma, 45 minutes south of Seattle, and 30 minutes north of Olympia, this lil chili contest should bring the vegan from far and wide!
Adults are $10, kids are $5, and if you want to enter the contest it is $5. All of the cash will be donated to Pig’s Peace Sanctuary in Standwood, Washington. So yeah, you get to have a good time, eat a bunch of vegan chili, and donate to an animal sanctuary. Oh NW vegan community, you truly do rule. So go buy a couple of tickets now before you forget and it is sold out like last time.
