Food Empowerment Project in Washington

Some of you may have heard that Food Empowerment Project, one of the most important and holistic vegan food justice organizations to ever have been formed, now how has a Washington Chapter. Woo hoo! I may be a bit biased, since I am currently the chapter volunteer coordinator, but really, if you haven’t heard of them, you just MUST check out their website. No other non-profit speaks for both animals and humans in such a genuine and practical way. I like to say, that the Food Empowerment Project’s approach to justice doesn’t leave anyone behind.

More importantly to this post, the chapter is putting on its FIRST fundraising event in Washington and there will only be 50 tickets available. This summer soiree will be legendary – with food from Fire & Earth Kitchen, music and song from local vegan recording artist Coreena, not to mention handmade cocktails by two of the chapter volunteers. The party will also feature special guest speaker, Dr. Gillespie, feminist geographer and critical animal studies scholar. All this held 9 stories above Seattle in a private room with beautiful balcony.

If you have been looking for a way to support vegan organizations, but don’t have tons of time, or you are just looking for the best date night EVER, then come to this event. Food Empowerment Project does such amazing work and deserves our support. Plus cocktails!

Get your tickets today! With only 50 spots and supporting such a great org, this event is sure to sell out!
